Ishikari World Festival 2013

Feeling so happy when i can open and write in my blog again. Today, i have plenty of time because i get failure in my sample's experiment. LOL! There is something trouble in my samples. It means that i must do again for the preparation of Scanning Electrone Microscope. I got stress on it, so that's why i opened my blog to write something about Japan. Well, several weeks ago i attended the Ishikari World Festival with my Indonesian's friend. World Festival is one of festival that exist in Japan. As you know that Japan became the center of education in Asia. So that's why, there are so many foreigners that take study in here both of master/doctoral and researcher. 

Each country has a organization that serves as gathering place of their community. For example, Indonesian Student Association is called by PPI (Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia). PPI Hokkaido. It's the name of the organization in Hokkaido area. This organization is so useful for student who study overseas. Why? Because we can meet our Indonesian friend, at least same language, same culture, and same taste of food. In my case, i studied in Hokkaido University which is located in Sapporo, so that's why i was became member of PPI Sapporo.

A lot of activities that i had joined in PPI Sapporo. One of them was Ishikari World Festival. Ishikari was one of district in Hokkaido. It was about 45 minutes from Sapporo-shi. My friends and i went to Ishikari with bus which is provided by committee. After arriving in that place, we prepared all of the stuffs to show Indonesian's culture. We had cooked "Bubur Kacang Ijo" and had fried "Kemplang Palembang". We also proveded Angklung to show the Indonesian's traditional music. It means that some International's friend can taste the foods and try to play Angklung. I'm proud to be Indonesian that having a lot of culture, foods, traditional musics and dances.

In this occasion, i had task to dance "Ampar-Ampar Pisang" from Kalimantan Island. My friends and i have practice for 2 weeks to prepare all of it. I was so excited. Yeah, it was the first time i showed my ability to dance in JAPAN. LOL! And you know what, i danced in front of Japanese people and International student. What a wonderful experience in my life! Really, i couldn't forget it. Overall we showed the best of us. We were so beautiful using traditional custom. I love Indonesia so much!
